Products

Choosing the type of countertop you want in a kitchen can seem like a huge decision. At Completley Kithchens we offer laminate, quartz, granite and Dekton countertops.

Laminate

Laminate countertops make up our most budget-friendly countertops. You can get many different colors and patterns in laminate, but the counter is composed of plastic fused to particle board. So in terms of durability, laminate comes in as the least durable type we offer.

Granite

Granite counters are made of natural quartz stone and other feldspar. The different mineral compositions create its unique speckled patterns and different colors. Granite is scratch resistant but it is still a porous material. It has to be sealed with specialized granite sealant once a year, so it can become a hassle down the road.

Quartz

Quartz is our most popular countertop type. It is extremely durable and strong, but unlike granite it does not need to be sealed every year. Quartz comes in a large variety of styles and colors - so you are sure to find a design you love.

Quartz is stain resistant, scratch resistant, and an extremely durable surface to have in your kitchen. Stain resistant does not mean stain proof, so you need to wipe up spills like wine or grape juice immediately. Quartz is not heat resistant, so you cannot place a hot pan directly on the countertop with this material without the possibility of cracking.

Dekton

Dekton is a new product created by Cosentino. It is fusion of natural materials found in porcelain, quartz, and glass that are pressed together by an enormous amount of pressure. Using what is coined as “Sinterized Particle Technology,” Cosnetino has created one of the strongest countertop styles ever. If you take a look at the table below, you can see that not only does Dekton have all of the strength and durability of granite and quartz, it is also heat proof and virtually indestructible.

Timeline

The timeline for all four of our countertop types are roughly the same. Once you have chosen your countertop type and design, in the next week we will be out to create a digital template of your countertop space so the stone or laminate is cut perfectly to size. From there it is about a 4-5 week lead time before your brand new countertops get installed.

Process

The process for a countertop replacement is extremely straightforward. The first step is to select between laminate, granite, quartz and dekton. Then you will choose the design within your type of countertops; we have hundreds of sample pieces in our showroom for you to look through! After that, a 50% deposit is required for us to make the order and the digital template to be created. Your new countertop installation will be scheduled around 4-5 weeks out. A plumber will detach your kitchen sink and our Completely Kitchens Crew will demo your existing countertop typically the day before your new countertop install. After the new countertop is installed, the plumber will return to attach your new kitchen sink and faucet. The remaining payment is due at that time - and you are free to enjoy your beautiful new countertops!
